Here is a mixed media painting of a blood orange. Initially I painted it in the realism style but felt the urge to add hand painted paper as I found it too boring. It's incredible what a few small details can do to a painting. It now lights up a space with its vibrant reds, orange, and green colors. It was put together using hand-painted papers using professional quality acrylic paints adhered with professional archival products.
