I inherited a koi pond when we bought our house. I wasn't happy at the extra work but fell in love with their beauty, the sounds of running water, frogs that live rent free, and of course the gorgeous water lily. I had to paint it and used mixed media to include paper I hand painted and acrylics. I adore this piece and hope you do too. It is varnished using high quality archival gloss medium. It's not too glossy and it makes the green pop off the canvas. Would look great in your space.
